Terms of Use
Last updated 23 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Questlings when you use the Questlings app. By using the app you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.
Who can use Questlings
You must be an adult, and the parent or legal guardian of any child you add. You are responsible for the account, for the PIN that protects it, and for deciding what your child can earn.
Children do not have accounts and cannot sign in. Everything a child sees is inside an account you control.
What the app is
Questlings is a support tool for everyday routines. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or claim to improve any condition, and nothing in it should be taken as medical, psychological, or educational advice.
Your content
The quests, rewards, names, and notes you enter are yours. We store them so the app works on your devices, and we do not use them for anything else. You can export or delete them at any time from Settings.
Subscription
Questlings offers an optional auto-renewable subscription. Without it, quests and Sparks keep working; the subscription adds Tokens and the real-reward half of the app.
- Free trial: 7 days, once per Apple ID. Apple decides eligibility.
- Length and price: one month at $7.99, or one year at $59.99. These are US App Store reference prices — you will be shown, and charged, the price in your own currency before you confirm.
- When you are charged: at the end of the free trial, and then at the start of each renewal period.
- Renewal: the subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Cancelling: in your Apple ID subscription settings, at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the subscription stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Payment: taken by Apple, not by us. Apple is the merchant of record and handles tax. We never see your card details.
If your subscription ends or is refunded, you lose access to the paid features — but never your data. Your family’s quests, history, and collection stay exactly as they were.
Refunds
Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are handled by Apple under its own policy. Request one through reportaproblem.apple.com. If something has gone wrong, email us as well — we would rather fix it.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- try to access another family’s data;
- interfere with the service, or attempt to break its security or rate limits;
- use the app for anything unlawful, or to harm a child.
We may suspend an account that does any of these, and will tell you why where we can.
Availability
We try to keep the service running, but we cannot promise it is never unavailable. The app is built to work offline: a child can open their quests and complete them on a plane, and everything syncs when the connection comes back.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Questlings and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your data, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the consumer law where you live, or our liability for death, personal injury, or fraud. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, Questlings is provided as it is and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Apple’s terms also apply
Questlings is distributed through the App Store, so Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your use of the app alongside these terms. Where the two conflict on something Apple governs — payment, refunds, the licence to use the app itself — Apple’s terms win. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and is not a party to these terms except as a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce them.
Your privacy
How we handle your family’s information is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters to you — price, what is included, or how your data is handled — we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Questlings after that means you accept the change; if you do not, you can cancel and delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Questlings is established, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live. If you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, you keep the right to bring proceedings in your own country’s courts.
If part of this does not hold
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing something straight away does not mean we have given up the right to.
